Your journey with nonlost

Step 01

Add your property

Register your property on nonlost — address, photos, access details. Takes about five minutes. We handle the rest of the setup.

Step 02

We install the smart lock

Our team installs a cloud-connected relay on your existing electric door lock. No rewiring, no new hardware beyond the relay. Works with any standard rim lock.

Step 03

Set your prices and availability

Open your nonlost dashboard and set your rates and availability. This is the only thing you need to do regularly — everything else is automated.

Step 04

Bookings come in — we handle them

When a booking is confirmed on Airbnb, Booking.com, or Vrbo, nonlost automatically schedules cleaning, orders linen, and generates a digital key for the guest.

Step 05

Guests check in themselves

The guest receives a link before arrival. They tap it on their phone, the door opens. No key exchange, no waiting, no coordination from you.

Step 06

You watch it all from your dashboard

Every access event, every cleaning report, every maintenance issue — visible in your dashboard. You're informed without being involved.

Step 01

Booking confirmed

Guest books on Airbnb, Booking.com, or Vrbo. The booking is confirmed as normal.

Step 02

Digital key arrives

Before check-in, the guest receives a link with their digital key — valid only for their stay period.

Step 03

Guest opens the door

On arrival, the guest taps the link on their phone and the door unlocks. No app to download, no PIN to remember.

Step 04

Key expires at checkout

At checkout time, the key automatically deactivates. The guest can no longer access the property.

Frequently asked

Do I need to replace my door lock?

No. We install a small relay device alongside your existing electric rim lock. The lock itself stays the same — we just add smart control on top of it.

What if the internet goes down?

The smart relay uses Shelly Cloud, which has a high uptime SLA. In the rare event of a connectivity issue, you can always issue a manual override from the dashboard.

Can I still give physical keys to guests?

Yes. The digital key system is additive — it doesn't remove your ability to use physical keys. Most landlords find guests prefer the digital option.

Do I control the price?

Completely. nonlost never changes your rates. You set the price in your dashboard; we sync it to the booking platforms.

What happens if a guest reports a maintenance issue?

The issue is logged in your dashboard. We contact a trusted local contractor and send you the quote for approval before any work begins.

Which booking platforms do you support?

Currently Airbnb, Booking.com, and Vrbo. More platforms are being added. You can also manage direct bookings through the nonlost dashboard.
